May 24th - May 26th 2024 Kulturbrauerei Berlin, Germany

With the HARMONICA FEN FESTIVAL 2024, Berlin harmonica player Marko Jovanović brings an impressive range of musical styles to the stage for the second time. "The harmonica is often underestimated in our country”. With our festival, we want to show curious music lovers how multifaceted this instrument is," says the musician, describing the aims of the festival.

Genre diversity and the joy of music are the top priorities. Internationally renowned virtuosos have accepted Jovanović's invitation to Berlin:

Herbie Hancock pupil Roni Eytan from New York (jazz, oriental),

OpusKlassik prize winner Konstantin Reinfeld,

jazz virtuosos Filip Jers from Sweden and Ariel Bart from Israel,

 Japan's tremolo star Yuko Yanagawa,

Spain's blues duo The Suitcase Brothers (Victor Puertas),

virtuoso Joan Pau Cumellas from Spain (blues, jazz manouche)

and the winner of the Toots Thielemans Challenge 2022 Rutger Mathys (Belgium) with his band Shikata Ga Nai.

Curator Marko Jovanović opens with the Balkan trio Franolić Mureškič Gabrić.

The six-piece Sirius Harmonica Ensemble from Taiwan will bring the festival to a close.
