We are excited to announce a new event, The Playing-Together Weekend, conceived and organised  by HarmonicaUK member Hilvert Scheper, which we hope will become an annual event.

This event will be held at the official start of Spring, at the weekend of  21 - 22 March, 2026.  This event is specifically for harmonica players to play together as a group or an ensemble.

Do you fancy spending a weekend at a hotel in Central England with 15 to 20 harmonica players, playing your part in a harmonica band? We know that many harmonica players struggle to find other players to team up with. Don’t struggle on your own; we really want to help you with practice tips to improve your playing and keep up a practice routine. After the event, we will also organise weekly online practice sessions to help you practice the music provided for the event.

The event is organised and led by HarmonicaUK member of 'core scores' fame, Hilvert Scheper, and Shivang Shastri, a young and superb musician on chromatic and double bass harmonica. Shivang is also an accomplished French horn player in an orchestra.

Players of all types of harmonicas are welcome, though the event is not particularly targeted to or suitable for beginners. This event will be limited to 25 players. The cost for this event itself is just £45.00 per person. This price does not cover accommodation and meals, which you will need to arrange yourself.

The event will take place at Premier Meetings in Solihull, Hockley Heath, just off the M42, very easy to reach from anywhere in the UK.

The event will mostly consist of playing and practice, though there will be a few short workshop sessions. This weekend is all about playing the harmonicas together!!

March is the month when most of us get a welcome break from paying council tax, so please join in!
