A few years ago I was listening to an online radio show whilst painting the roof of ‘Muddy Waters’, my barge, and I heard a crazy harmonica recording. It was bluesy without being blues, funky and angular with a bouncing pushy groove that fought to overtake itself.
The Harmonica player was Elder Roma Wilson, the Mississippi born harmonica preacher who was still playing aged 104.
For many shows and recordings he teamed up with guitarist Leon Pinson to bring many admirers across folk & blues audiences.
