Hi everyone, welcome to the newsletter covering April!

I've got lots to share with you all, so bear with me whilst I go through it. Firstly, don't forget to take a look at the Newsdesk website page; there is  a lot for you to peruse through and consider, as well as a guitarist wishing to pair up with a harmonica player! Don't all rush at once!! ๐Ÿ˜ Also, as always, our events page, giving you the necessary links, dates, times and brief descriptions of workshops, gigs etc. One of the things you'll see on our Events page is our good old open mic; come along and join Dave and myself at 5 pm UK time Saturday. Everyone welcome, all levels, all styles of Harmonica, and all types of music. Friends, family or spectators are very welcome for a good hour of fun and music. I'm presently learning โ€œDrip Drip Drop, Little April Showersโ€  to match the weather! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here's a shout out to all of our members, we have Sarah Saputri joining us all the way from Indonesia for our Saturday Session this month, with a workshop titled โ€œThe Major Pentatonic Scale and how to use it". Dave, Sarah and I look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday 27th April at 5 pm UK time. This is one definitely not to miss.

One thing we can all depend on and look forward to is our weekly coffee morning, every Friday morning at 11 am UK time , hosted by the lovely Dave Hambley; again, everyone is welcome. So join Dave for a really good natter with like-minded people. Sometimes they even talk about Harmonicas!

I'd like to notify you that Gene Myers has kindly taken on the role of Editor of our magazine, Harmonica World, in February. This is a very demanding position, so huge thanks to Gene and very best of luck. Anyone who would like to help the editorial team with the process of putting together our amazing worldwide magazine, please contact our Chair Dave, Editor Gene, or you can always contact myself.

I'm not sure if this has ever been announced, but our secretary for HarmonicaUK is Simon Joy, and our treasurer is Darren Lampon; both work exceptionally hard for us. Huge thanks to both of them as well. ๐Ÿ˜„ The committee would like to thank Lee Van Crumpton for joining us at HarmonicaUK, and kindly taking on the position as membership secretary. Other new volunteers Gary Croad and Charlotte Oliver have stepped up to take on our social media positions. Huge thank you from all of us at HarmonicaUK. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘

Finally, we are still needing volunteers to help us, anyone who has a spare hour or two, please contact me or Dave, our Chair, particularly if you have interests in the following: harmonica for health, outreach, proofreading, computer skills and admin. Thanks so much in anticipation.

Well, that's it for me, I hope to see some of you at the different events mentioned above, or even better, working alongside us here at HarmonicaUK, this great charity!

Until next time,

Suzy
