Hello dear member and welcome to your December newsletter.

I am filling in for Suzy this time as she is still recovering from her accident, recovery will be a slow process and there’s a long way to go.

She has however asked me to pass on her thanks for all the support and messages, wishing her a speedy return to health,  I’m sure she’ll return in the new year.

So, what’s coming up this month? Well, firstly, we have the open mic on the first Saturday of the month, Saturday, 2 December at 5 PM UK time. Come and join us in a friendly atmosphere, and there might even be a seasonal tune or two!

We also have our very own Simon Joy leading the Saturday Session members only workshop on 9 December, 5 PM UK time, who will be focusing on phrasing and rhythms, for traditional music on tremolo.

Also, we have our regular virtual coffee mornings every Friday at 11 AM UK time where you can chat about harmonicas and everything else with other members.

There is also a special coffee morning planned on Friday 22nd December. Pete Hewitt, Patron and former chair, will be hosting a special festive coffee morning. Pete has invited some of his friends and special guests from the world of harmonica. This is one not to be missed so put this in your diary now.

I would also like to put out an appeal to all members for help with the organisation. HarmonicaUK is run strictly by volunteers, and we always need fresh faces and ideas to keep the charity running. We can use help in all teams and departments, social media, magazine, initiatives, events and videoing, including editing etc. to name but a few!

If you feel you have something to offer, we would love to hear from you and you can drop me a line at: [email protected]

Festival Delagates' Concert Videos
We have a video of the Sunday afternoon members concert at the festival in Birmingham in October. If anyone would like a copy of their performance please contact Roger Trobridge - [email protected] - and he will try to send you a digital copy to your computer.

All that is left is to wish you all a very festive season from all at HarmonicaUK, don’t forget to check out the website where you can find details for all the above plus extra exclusive content in the members only section.

Keep blowin’,

Dave
