Well hello there everyone and a warm welcome to our June newsletter.

I can tell summer is here, not because of the gorgeous sunshine that we are enjoying, but more artists are sending us there gig lists, which is fantastic! Check out our Newsdesk and Events page for links, dates and more details.

Allow me to tease you with a couple of tasters! Joe Powers has announced he is touring the UK and Europe, as well as Peter Golding playing in London with Café Django in June!🎶

More excitement, we have only just finished holding our Chromatic Weekend and are now starting to go full steam ahead with preparations for our festival in October!📢 We are pleased to be joined by Rob Paparozzi, who featured in the Blues Brothers band. Rob plays both diatonic and chromatic, but will be mostly representing our diatonic players this year.

Another treat is our very own patron, Adam Glasser. With his jazz and South African roots, Adam will be playing and teaching the chromatic harmonica.

We are also being joined by one of our ambassadors for HarmonicaUK, Sarah Saputri. Sarah plays the diatonic harmonica and has an amazing repertoire of Indonesian tunes alongside blues and rock.

Back to the here and now! Don’t forget to come and join Dave and myself at our open mic this Saturday at 5 pm UK time. All styles, all levels, friends and family are also welcome to come along, spectate and enjoy. We can easily make special provisions for anxious players or beginners, just let me know by using the Newsdesk email address.

Our members only Saturday Session is going to be a great one this month. Hosted by the Colcloughs, Ben Hewlett is leading us all with a workshop on improvisation on any type of harmonica in the key of C and any level!! No excuses, dust off that old harmonica and come along and join in the fun with us all!👏

I’ve taken up more than enough of your time, so check out our website where you will find all the information you need.

That’s all folks!! Until the next time, take care and look forward to seeing you at one of the above sessions.
