Hello and a very warm welcome to our June newsletter!

We have lots of exciting things for you this month. I’m not a gambling person but I bet if I told you of new competitions, gigs plus much much more you would be interested? Yes?! ! Then go to Newsdesk where you can win new kit.

There is also information on Joe Powers UK and European tour which sounds great! Our very own Vice-Chair and Head of Communications, Barry Elms and his band the Hurdy Gurdies have a great list of gigs over the next month or so, which is definitely one not to miss!

Due to the Jubilee celebrations the coffee morning on Friday 3rd June, and the Open Mic on Saturday 4th June have been cancelled. The coffee morning will recommence the following Friday 10th June at 11 am, and the monthly Open Mic will be back the first Saturday in July.

May all of our Newsdesk team at HarmonicaUK wish you very happy Jubilee celebrations! In the words of Del Boy, "lovely jubilee!"

See you next month,

Suzy

Suzy Colclough - Newsdesk Coordinator

Hello everyone,

The big news for June is our Chromatic Weekend.  I’m glad to see many of our regulars who will be joining us again, but I am also looking forward to meeting many new friends.  I would like to thank Dave, Hilvert and Neil for all of their hard work and planning. This is going to be one to remember, and you still have time to join us! See the event page for details, schedule and bookings.

Gene Myers and Barry Elms have been working with me on improving the stage area and lighting.  It really is coming together well and I am sure our regulars will enjoy our changes to the Chromatic Weekend. I know we are all itching to catch up again and I am pleased to say that Davina, Suzy, Sam, Barry, Simon and of course Dave will be joining us from our main committee at the weekend along with our Patron Roger, Gary from our Newsdesk team, Laina from Outreach, and Harmonica World Editor Dave Colclough. It really has the making of a great weekend.

Before I close to join the jubilee celebrations, I would like to thank you all for your support and to welcome our new members, as we continue to grow from strength to strength.

Happy harping,

Pete
